Dramatherapy with Displaced Children

The Listening Stone Program is designed to be an 8-week program for children that have experienced trauma. Written by Donna Jennings, it is a dramatherapy program that utilizes storytelling, acting, music, art and play to facilitate healthy socioemotional development in children.

The program follows the fictional story of an orphan called No-Name. Each session focuses on a part of her journey as she learns about friendship, loss, & resilience. Many of the children in this region can identify with the experiences of No-Name as they themselves have gone through loss, separation from loved ones, and moments of fear or sadness.
